Raising awareness among IP rights holders on the important role of customs authorities in countering the traffic with counterfeit goods led to increased numbers of applications for customs action in place (from 758 in 2011 to 881 in 2012), both on national and community level, number of community applications increasing with 100 in 2012 (from 537 in 2011 to 637 in 2012).
